It's Fall Y'all !

Today, finally, felt like Fall. Of course, the mantel over my fireplace has been decorated for a month...but whatever ;) I love my Halloween decorations...especially my pumpkins, and I try to get a few new things each year. My sister game me the Happy Halloween sign for my birthday, and I bought the BOO pumpkin at TJMaxx. The little baby pumpkins came in a set of 6, and I got those back in the days when I worked at the Court because a co-worker's aunt made them. So, I've had those quite awhile.

Instead of Spring Cleaning, I'm doing Fall Cleaning. I read an article today on "How to De-Clutter For Good." The main thing I needed to hear was this ... You may love all 15 tote bags that you own, but you don't NEEEEED 15 if you're only going to use 2. So, donate those other 13 and don't look back! So, I got a little distracted while working on my bookshelves. I figured Cookbooks would be an easy enough thing to go through since I only use a couple of those that have those tried and true recipes. I'm never going to make those recipes with directions that go on for a mile and have 100 ingredients. Nope! Just ain't gonna happen. But, then, I ran upon this little beauty.

And, whether I cook anything in it or not, I'm going to lay it out on the counter for decoration! It's just the kind of book that you want to curl up with on the sofa under a blanket and look through. There are fun Fall activity ideas at the bottom of the pages, too. Just flipped through it again as I'm writing and saw a recipe for Broccoli Cornbread. I haven't made that in years! Hmmmm .... That would be so scrumptious with a big ole pot of Chicken Vegetable Soup. Just might have to plan that for the weekend.

And, in case this is my first time mentioning it, My name is Stephanie, and I am a magazine addict. So, if your kid is selling, I'd be an easy target, just saying. Here is what I'm reading now.

Here's the justification for having so many: The All You's have coupons so they pay for themselves, The Real Simple mentions Halloween, Storage, Work Clothes and the biggy... PLANNERS on the front, the Southern Living I hadn't bought in awhile and was just curious, the Woman's Day for the Slow Cooker recipes and Journey I got free at my church. They are glossy and they are pretty and they call my name!  At least I give them away or recycle when I'm done, so sue me!!

I'm going to try and enjoy every little thing I can about the Fall because it will be over and the holidays will be here before we know it. And, I have several projects that I would actually like to accomplish before they get here.

1. Painting the Hallway.
2. Cleaning the Carpets.
3. Finishing the All American Clean-Out
4. Putting Mulch Down
5. Getting Jacob's Picture Made Professionally

Who knows if I will complete all of those, but you have to have goals, right?? I know that if I am able to accomplish all of those things, the months that follow will be much easier.
